Mies en Detroit

A LOVE LETTER TO MIES

Built in 1956 by Mies van der Rohe, one of the pioneers of modern architecture, Detroit's Lafayette Park has stood the test of time to become an icon of modernist architecture in America. When tasked with renovating a townhouse in the complex, Dash Marshall architects imagined what Mies might have done differently if he were to build the project today. The result is a thoroughly modern, modernist project that pays homage to the master.
